How do we love Emma Stone? Let us count the ways. Even while tripping up Naomi Watts (by mistake!) on the SAG Awards stage last night, Emma looked standout gorgeous, wearing Chanel make-up with her hair in a simple wrapped ponytail. Here’s how we’re using some of our favourite products to get her look:

Chanel make-up artist Rachel Goodwin, who created this beautiful look, told The Hollywood Reporter:

“Her overall look is so graphic and so iconic. She’s been exploring the whole menswear thing and doing something really different… I wanted to create a make-up look that was really powerful and feminine at the same time. Something very glamorous, with glossy skin, golden creamy eyes, a powerful lip and strong brows. This was not a passive, ethereal look.”

How to get the look the Birchbox way? Read on:

Flawless Skin:

Apply a light serum like Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum to prime and hydrate skin. Allow to sink in, then – to make sure your look lasts all night – apply Benefit Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer. Next, use a beautyblender® to apply stila stay all day foundation and use the matching concealer where you need it, perhaps around the eyes or nose. For a Hollywood glow, try the Balm’s Mary-Lou Manizer on your cupid’s bow, under the eyebrows and on top of your cheeks. Finally, just add a sweep of bronzer for a little subtle colour.

Strong Brows:

Once you’ve plucked any stray hairs, use Benefit Brow Zings to hold the shape you want, then fill in any sparse patches or uneven edges using the powder included or try a pencil like Lord & Berry Magic Brow. For even more definition, blend Benefit’s High Brow under the arch.

Smokey Eyes:

Goodwin used a 3-shade bronzer on Emma to make her blue eyes pop – try Wild About Beauty’s Golden Beach Bronzer – with a golden cream eyeshadow like Laura Mercier’s Caviar Eye Stick in Sand Glow on the lid and around the bottom lash line too. Anchor the eye look with a light touch of liquid eyeliner at the outer edge of the eyes, plus lashings of black mascara.

Bold Lip:

Line the outside of your lips with this neutral lip liner, which will ensure the colour doesn’t bleed. Then apply your favourite matte red lipstick or lip crayon.

Finish with a funky ear cuff or two – we love the selection at Accessorize – and pull hair back into a simple, hair-wrapped ponytail to let your make-up do the talking. Practically Emma!
