The first person who truly gave us a ‘Wow’ moment on the Oscars red carpet this year was Margot Robbie, who rocked a fierce red lip, debuted a new low side-parted lob and wore a hell of a Saint Laurent dress – plus one expensive Van Cleef & Arpels necklace. Swoon. Here’s how to get Margot’s gorgeous look:

SKIN:

This is a flawless skin look, so you’ll need a good primer like Pixi By Petra’s to begin, then a medium-coverage foundation like stila’s stay all day foundation. Use a beautyblender to apply – can you spot it in the pic above?! Follow up with a concealer that perfectly matches your skintone where needed. Dusting of light bronzer subtly under the cheekbones to contour. Use Chella’s creamy Highlighter Pencil across cheekbones, under brows and on the cupids bow.

EYES:

Brush brows up for a slightly undone look, use Lord & Berry’s Magic Brow to fill in and brush, then set with Benefit Gimme Brow. Margot wore no eyeshadow, so just pop a little Chella Highlighter Pencil in the inner corners of your eyes. (If you want a little more definition, blend Cynthia Rowley’s Metallic Plum pencil liner around the lash line!) Use a gel liner to tightline across the top lashes – there’s a full tutorial here! – before applying a couple of coats of Benefit’s They’re Real mascara.

LIPS:

Use an invisible liner around the lips so the colour doesn’t bleed, then apply some lip balm, followed by a coat of Lord & Berry’s Twistick in Arizona or what Margot actually used, Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Raven. Blot and apply another coat.

HAIR:

Margot debuted a new lob on the red carpet, looking utterly stunning! Use a volumising shampoo, conditioner and styler on just-washed hair, then part hair as deep as you fancy. Then blow dry with a round brush, using serum on mid-lengths to ends for a defined, non-frizzy finish.
