Dewy connotes youthful, plump, healthy skin. Achieving this without looking shiny or greasy is the key. You’re after a radiant glow from within, not ‘just got off an over-packed tube’. Grace lists her favourite products to create that desired dew-tastic look:
EXFOLIATE:
It all starts with good, healthy skin. I’ve recently discovered the wonders of Zelens skincare – a fab high-performance skincare line designed by Dr. Marko Lens. If your skin’s in need of a pick-me-up, their new Micro-Refiner Bi-Active Exfoliator gently buffs away dead skin cells to reveal a fresh, smooth, revitalised complexion. Most exfoliators tend to dry out or irritate my sensitive skin and this is the most gentle I’ve found.
HYDRATE:
I’ve been following up with their Z Matrix Energy & Moisture Infusion, a gel-like moisturiser that I use when my skin is feeling dehydrated or a little lacklustre. It instantly refreshes and hydrates my skin and leaves it feeling super smooth and plump all day. Great for late nights or stressed out, tired skin!
Elemental Herbology’s Facial Soufflé is an intensive hydrating overnight cream packed with nourishing essential oils, shea butter, and jojoba to provide super plumped up skin when you wake. Slather on at night before a special event – or hot date – and your skin will be gorgeously glowy the following day.
RADIATE:
My go-to dewy base of the moment is Laura Mercier’s Radiance Foundation Primer and RMK Creamy Foundation, they’re a match made in heaven for normal to dry skin like mine. Their best-selling primer has a water-based formula that hydrates the skin unlike other silicone-based ones on the market. It will help your make-up stay put and look fresh for longer. The pearl tint creates that coveted soft focus effect to minimise imperfections and leave a luminous finish.
RMK’s Foundation looks super-natural on the skin but can be built up for a higher coverage. It’s high water-retention formula is hydrating and won’t cling to flaky patches so it can be used on even the driest of skin. Plus, it contains SPF15!
LUMINATE:
Try a highlighter like theBalm cosmetics Mary Lou Manizer, it’s packed with pretty light reflecting shimmer rather than big chunks of glitter to avoid you looking like Edward Cullen in the sun. It’s highly-pigmented, so use a light fluffy brush to sweep over cheek and brow bones, inner corner of the eye and cupids bow. Gives luminous skin in seconds.
